Care Planning

Care is at the heart of what we do, we will work closely with yourself or your loved one to develop a bespoke person centred care plan to meet all of your health and social needs at Highbarrow.

Health

Your health is important. We work closely with various professionals, including the local GP Practice, Mental Health team, District Nursing Team and many others. We will liaise with professionals to ensure you receive the right level of care and support. 

24/7 Care

Highbarrow has care assistants around the clock to ensure you or your loved one is safe, and has the right level of access to care and support. 

Electronic System

The service uses the latest and most up to date electronic systems to manage care plans and documentation. This provides greater efficiency for our carers and managers, ensuring that time can be given to the care.

Highbarrow Residential Care

Residential care is for people who are having difficulty managing on their own at home, with or without support, and still wish to maintain a degree of independence, yet have the peace of mind that someone is there to help at any time they need it.


Residential care may be perfectly suitable for you if you prefer the company of other residents and wish to develop new friendships with like minded people. We can arrange trial visits, short term breaks (sometime known as respite care) or long term (permanent) placements; the choice is yours.

Highbarrow Dementia care

Our care team are experienced in providing specialist help and support to people with dementia or dementia related conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease. We offer a sensitive and understanding approach to people with dementia and provide a variety of activities and therapy sessions which help to stimulate memory and natural thought processes through sensory expression. We also provide help and support to people with a physical disability, sensory impairment (hearing or vision), incontinence, communication and speech and language difficulties.

Highbarrow Respite Care and Day Care

Highbarrow Residential Home is ideal for shorter stays where you or your loved one can enjoy all the facilities of our beautiful home. Guests can enjoy our stunning gardens, take part in various activities, and indulge in pampering in our Hairdresser and therapy salon. 


There are different types of respite care available depending on your or your loved one care needs, and the length of stay can vary from a few days to several weeks or months.

Safeguarding Adults Policy 
Highbarrow is dedicated to keeping those which are most vulnerable in our service and community safe and free from harm or abuse. The service has an in-depth policy and procedure available at request. If you have a concern regarding someone’s safety, please raise this immediately with the home manager or the operations manager.

Personal data may be collected for specified, explicit and legitimate purposes. Personal data shall be kept for no longer than is necessary, and shall be kept secure and in line with government guidance. If you would like to know the information that is stored, or have a copy of the homes policy & procedure, please contact the manager.
