At Highbarrow, we understand that moving to a care home is a significant change for everyone involved and often can be a very confusing and challenging process. We aim to assist and provide the highest quality care and support and encourage our residents to maintain the lifestyle that they previously enjoyed and to be as independent as possible. The service works in a truly holistic, multi-disciplinary way, where the division between care and home life are integrated.
Highbarrow is set beautifully in rural farmlands, just outside of Uttoxeter. The service specialises in the care of adults over the age of 65, alongside individuals who may have dementia associated conditions.
The established care team are highly experienced and receive comprehensive and ongoing training to keep them are the forefront of the care industry. The service works closely with specialists, including GPs, Pharmacists, Occupational therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Social Workers.
We have a flexible approach, with the focus always being on the needs of the individual. The packages of care here are bespoke and adaptable, focusing on the needs of the individual, ensuring independence, dignity and privacy is maintained.
The service comprises of two sections, a charming original part and a brand-new extension. The original part of the home has 10 single bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, 11 single bedrooms, and one double shared bedroom. There are two spacious lounges and living areas, alongside a full dining room central to the original property with views over the garden and grounds. The property has two communal bathrooms, which have additional adaptions to help our residents to access the facilities easily.
The service recently completed a brand new extension with 15 spacious bedrooms, each with full en-suite bathrooms and showers. As part of the project, the kitchen was modernised and extended and, brand new Hairdressers, Therapy room, launderette and kitchenette were developed. The extension has a spacious lounge and a separate dining room with breathtaking views over the scenic Staffordshire countryside and Marchington.
